Toppazzini S.p.A., headquartered in San Daniele del Friuli (Udine), produces and sells corrugated cardboard packaging.
The company was founded back in 1955, thanks to the intuition of the entrepreneur Toppazzini Antonio, who perceived the importance that packaging was acquiring as an element of protection of products, and subsequently as a tool for the transmission of the brand and of the image of the companies towards their customers.
He started his business as "Scatolificio Toppazzini S.r.l.", to meet the needs of some local companies. In 1967, the first buildings were constructed in the current headquarters’ area (5000 square meters) and the first lines for printing and cutting of the packaging started.
The company, distinguishing itself for its dynamism and flexibility towards the market, grew continuously, thus starting the expansion of the plant in 1980, with the introduction of the line for the production of corrugated cardboard (Ondapiù S.r.l.).
This investment allowed to verticalize the company, increasing productivity and strengthening its image within the market, also thanks to the entry of Umberto and Bruno, the two sons, as Sales and Production Managers.
In 1990 the two companies (Scatolificio Toppazzini S.r.l. and Ondapiù S.r.l.) merged, originating the current company name.
Nowadays, Toppazzini S.p.A. operates in a 76,000-square meter area - 30,000 of which indoors. It has a production line for the corrugated cardboard sheets and seven lines for printing, cutting and gluing.
The company employs around 150 people and has a turnover of 50 million euros, transforming 100M square meters every year.
The continuous technological and organizational modernization has allowed a more effective control of the entire value chain and a greater focus on one of the main critical factors of success within this field: the speed of reaction to the customer’s requests.
